About the Pictures

The pictures used for these wallpapers were taken by me mostly in and around Las Vegas, Nevada and California using a Sony Alpha 100 SLR camera with a 75 - 300mm zoom lens.

Pictures 1, 4, 8, 9, 13, 16, 28 were taken in my backyard.

Pictures 7 & 11 at Ethel M's Cactus Garden in Las Vegas, Nevada

Pictures 5, 14, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, 31,33 and 39 are composite pictures created in Adobe Photoshop using two or more photographs and various filters.

When photographing a subject I will often take many different pictures of the same thing in different positions in the frame so that I will have more to pick from when trying to combine them. Sunsets can be made more interesting with some flying birds, but it is hard to get both together so I will combine pictures of flying birds and with sunset pictures using the overlay filter. This technique was used in pictures 15, 17, 20, 24, 27, 33, and 39.
