How to Prepare the Baby Jesus in a Manger Nativity Craft:
1. Before class, prepare the mangers. Print out the patterns onto card stock (Heavy Paper).
2. Fold all the lines up. Glue the ends overlapping each other with a glue gun.
3. The mangers can be assembled in several different ways depending on the age of your child. You can have them glue mini craft sticks to the sides and ends of the manger, or just add craft sticks to the ends to make stands. If you don't have craft sticks, you can use cardboard for the end pieces.

2. Have your children draw faces on the wooden pegs with markers or pens. If you don't have wooden pegs, you can have them make babies out of clay. Babies are very easy to make, just roll the clay into a a tube and cut off about 1 1/2" inch. Roll another piece in a ball and attach it to the roll for the head.
3. Have them wrap the baby up in strips of 1 1/2" wide white material.
4. Let them cut raffia or yarn into small pieces and stick them in the manger (if you don't have raffia, you can use crinkled-up yellow paper or tissue paper), placing Baby Jesus on top.
